In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of banned practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret sect.

The mission centers on "strange tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Changes

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Newest Free Story Content

This patch also brings the game's latest free story content, titled "The Enigma." Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
